Role: As Producer, I assisted in screenplay, critical script decisions, set design, lighting, videography, community relations, and fundraising.
Challenge: In 2017, I was invited to be a Producer of the short film To the Muse. The team was assembled with the vision of creating a story that celebrated artistic revolutions in Cuba. All without traditional actors.
Solution: To the Muse was born — a story about a boy who overcomes the doubts of his father to follow his dream to become a DJ. Set in the vibrant tones of Centro Habana, the aesthetic of the film is breathtaking. As a central part of our production philosophy, we made To the Muse with the full involvement of the community — kids were the driving force of its creation.
