But we need a fresh move of the spirit in our day and age in order to build a new world that reflects the value and goodness of all people. The same spirit that lived in our ancestors now lives in us, giving us the power and wisdom to do what seems impossible.
I will be preaching at two different services: 8:15am and 10:30am
I'll be speaking at Denver Seminary on the educational needs that must be addressed among our urban youth.
Every Tuesday night from 7-8pm (Sept 16 to Oct 21)
I will be preaching at a conference hosted by Ruby Sales and the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference on the spirituality of young people and what it means for black people to live in an age when they are seen as disposable and criminal.
A journey of faith and practice as we serve leaders and residents of Ferguson, particularly around a conference being hosted by Ruby Sales and the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference. Our mission will be to: galvanize residents and local leaders for the freedom movement there; to listen to, pray for, and stand in solidarity with residents who are traumatized; to seek justice regarding the murder of Mike Brown; and to grow in our understanding of race, faith, and democracy.
I’ll be speaking on what it means to love your neighbor and how we can see God’s kingdom come down in our neighborhoods.
I will be speaking shortly about my experience on the ground in Ferguson and our upcoming “Freedom Ride to Ferguson"
Come and check out some live, local music (of all types) and hear inspiring stories of social change and community that are happening right here in Denver.
